Yesterday, 07/03/10, My boy Reaper was at Del Amo Motorsports and text me at 12:45pm that he was leaving to pick me up for lunch in LA. When he didn't show up at 1:30, I waited until 2PM, 3Pm and then I called a friend who gave me the chp website.
On the website, there was 2 accidents. One 405/Artesia-hit n run- no details, the other was 110/105 chrysler with Ambulance responding. I immediate drove out to the one on 110/105 fwy, and i saw the ambulance, but no bike.
So i went back to work and called a few friends of mine to see if they can run to see if he was in a wreck and being transported. At 5:30pm, my phone rang and it was a call from reapers cell phone, but it wasn't him, it was UCLA medical.
When we went to UCLA, we were told he was riding on the 405 n, exiting Artesia East and they didn't know if he was clipped or if he lost control, but when chp arrived to the scene, he was walking around, but disoriented, and went into cardiac arrest.
On the way to the hospital, his heart stopped, and they revived him and at the hospital, they gave him 3 pints of blood because the impact broke his ribs and punctured his heart. He was stable for an hour after his arrival.....but then they lost him.
I can't believe he is really gone....but he left this world happy, happy in love, happy in life, happy with his family, and happy doing what he loved......riding
