Steering Tips
« on: July 03, 2008, 02:07:39 PM »
I have typed up what I have learned from a class I took by a race instructor.
Please read it and feel free to pass it on to anyone you think this will benefit.
It's in a PDF file so should be easy for everyone to read.  It's on our download section on our forum.

not a bad article. I already do this stuff. They give you a little bit of this info in the MSF course. Most of it I picked up through experience and time from hitting canyons and the track. There's also more factors that go into this as well such as the traction of your tires. Do you really want to lean far and take a turn fast with tires that you can't trust to grip (if they are a hard compound or are cold). Also, use smooth controlled inputs when turning. A jerk on the handle bars will send your front end sliding out from under you (low side)
