I bought the new Apple TV almost two months ago and it works great; I have all the original packaging and everything.
There is NOTHING wrong with the Apple TV.
It is still under warranty for a year as well, fully transferable.

HD movie and TV show rentals, Netflix and YouTube streaming, iTunes music and photos from your computer

So how does this thing work? Do you need internet for it to work?

You hook it up to some type of internet and to your tv and you can stream movies and what not?

What do you need to make this thing work? Additional Cables to purchase? Software? Easy installation?

I know, i know lots of questions but i'm not too computer savvy.

i just sold it.

it's pretty cool.  you can rent movies from iTunes store, if you have netflix watch movies from there, connect to your computer with itunes and watch pics, movies, podcasts, music from the computer.

you connect it to your network (wired or wireless) and then hdmi or fiber cable to your tv.  it's really easy to setup too.
